Heidi Ganahl

Heidi Ganahl is an entrepreneur and community leader with a passion for public service that has seen her serve on several boards focusing on education and entrepreneurship. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Colorado Boulder and a master’s degree in health care administration from the University of Denver.

When faced with extraordinary adversity, Ganahl responded by working to make her passion a reality; founding Camp Bow Wow, a pet care franchise which was named to the Inc. 500/5000 fastest growing company list five years in a row. Her success led to Ganahl being named one of Fortune’s 10 Most Promising Women Entrepreneurs in 2014, and among the “Top Women Entrepreneurs in the Country” by Parade Magazine. Ganahl eventually sold the Camp Bow Wow brand for $100 million dollars in order for focus her attention on philanthropy, education, politics, and other endeavors.

Ganahl founded and serves as the president of the Fight Back Foundation, a nonprofit which seeks to mentor and support social entrepreneurs aiming to improve the lives of children in Colorado by tackling issues such as bullying, sexual assault, school safety, and substance abuse. Her commitment to improving the lives of the nation’s youth led her to serve on Colorado’s School Safety and Youth in Crisis Committee. Recently Ganahl launched SheFactor, a book, app, and national brand that aims to empower millions of women across the Union States.

In 2016 Ganahl was elected to serve on the Board of Regents of the University of Colorado, and currently chairs the board’s finance committee.
