On September 11, ACTA sent letters to the members of the Brown University Board of Trustees and Fellows urging the board to vote no at their upcoming meeting, where they will consider divesting from companies who do business with the State of Israel. In the letter, ACTA cites a recent communication sent to Brown University by 24 state attorneys general outlining the legal repercussions divestment would have for the university. The letter was enclosed with a copy of ACTA’s new resource, Danger in Divestment. The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions Movement: What College Trustees Need to Know, which can be found here.
