ACTA has expanded its groundbreaking analysis of college curricula, What Will They Learn?, in response to the single most common demand: review more schools! The 2010 expansion to over 700 schools demonstrates that although some American colleges ensure their graduates have a strong general education, many American colleges have dumbed down their requirements. The report and the companion website, WhatWillTheyLearn.com, detail whether each school requires literature, U.S. government or history, foreign language, mathematics, economics, science, and composition. ACTA assigns each school a letter grade, and notes explain the grades assigned and noteworthy programs within schools. Developed in response to the inadequacy of existing college rankings and guides, What Will They Learn? is the only resource that reviews college curricula comprehensively to answer the first question that parents, guidance counselors, and trustees should ask about high school graduates going to school: what will they learn?
